02The nature of our service
BetterAlta is a sourcing-led procurement advisory firm. We help clients identify, verify and evaluate suppliers and manage sourcing decisions through a structured, governed process.
We advise. You decide. BetterAlta acts strictly as an advisory intermediary. In connection with any client requirement, we do not:
- buy or sell goods;
- negotiate or enter into contracts on your behalf;
- handle, request or hold payments or bank details; or
- appear on commercial invoices, purchase orders or shipping documents.
All commercial decisions, contracts and payments are made directly by the client with their chosen suppliers. Responsibility for those decisions remains with the client at all times.
03Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system;
- introduce malicious code, or misuse the site by knowingly introducing viruses or other harmful material;
- submit false information, or use our forms to send spam or unsolicited material.
We may suspend or withdraw the site, or restrict access, without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or uninterrupted.
04Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, the BetterAlta name and logo, layout and design — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own reference. You may not reproduce, republish or commercially exploit any content without our written permission.
05Accuracy of information
The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. While we take care to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no representations or warranties that it is complete, current or error-free. Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice provided under a specific engagement.
06Engagements
Any advisory engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between BetterAlta and the client, which sets out the scope, gates, deliverables and fees for that engagement. Where those engagement terms differ from these website terms, the engagement terms take precedence for that engagement. Our work is delivered through a structured gate process, with an audit pack provided at the close of each engagement.
07Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, and because our role is advisory only:
- we are not liable for the performance, quality, delivery, pricing or conduct of any supplier, or for any goods or services you procure;
- we are not liable for any business decision you take, which remains yours; and
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, contracts or goodwill, arising from use of this website.
Our liability in connection with any engagement is addressed in the relevant engagement agreement.

09Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
