This disclaimer sets out the boundaries of our role. It is central to how BetterAlta works, so we state it plainly: we provide advice and structure; you make the commercial decisions.
01Advisory only
BetterAlta is a sourcing-led procurement advisory firm acting as an advisory intermediary. We help clients find, verify and evaluate suppliers and run a governed sourcing process. We do not act as a buyer, seller, agent, broker, importer or distributor.
In connection with any requirement, BetterAlta does not:
- purchase or sell goods or services;
- negotiate, sign or enter into contracts on a client's behalf;
- request, receive, hold or process payments or bank details; or
- appear on commercial invoices, purchase orders, letters of credit or shipping documents.
All contracts, payments and commercial terms are agreed and executed directly between the client and the supplier they choose. This boundary is a permanent feature of our model and is not varied by any statement on this website or in general correspondence.
02Your decisions remain yours
Our recommendations, supplier shortlists, verification findings and audit packs are provided to inform your decisions. They are not instructions and do not remove your responsibility to carry out your own due diligence and satisfy yourself before committing. Selecting a supplier, placing an order and making payment are your decisions alone.
03No responsibility for supplier performance
Because we do not supply the goods or services and are not party to your contracts, we are not responsible for a supplier's performance — including product quality, delivery, timelines, pricing, compliance or conduct. Any claim in relation to goods or services lies between you and your supplier.
04Verification is a point-in-time assessment
Where we verify or assess suppliers, our findings reflect the information reasonably available at the time and the scope agreed with you. Verification reduces risk; it does not eliminate it, and it is not a guarantee of a supplier's future performance or solvency.
05Website content
Information on this website is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute professional, legal or financial advice. You should not rely on it as a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances under a specific engagement.
06Limitation of liability
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, BetterAlta is not liable for losses arising from supplier performance, from your commercial decisions, or from reliance on general website content. Liability under any engagement is governed by the relevant engagement agreement and our Terms & Conditions.
